Rules

Most of the recipes that are shown here are slow cooked so their will be times that you just have to remember to stir the pot and we do have ways to help you in that matter.

RULES FOR COOKING KITCHEN QUARTERBACK STYLE

  1. Always have plenty of liquid libations available so the cook (yourself) will not get dehydrated
  2. Make sure there is a sporting event to your liking on TV (whether it is football, baseball, hockey, basketball, or professional woman’s volleyball) so that you aren’t sitting around watching the food cook. (Boring)
  3. Prepare the food the day before you go to the game because you do not want to be doing this in the middle of a parking lot freezing your butt off. The next day you just have to reheat the food and the fire for reheating the food can keep you warm.
  4. Prepare the food the day before because it always tastes better the next day anyway.
  5. Where the recipe says its time for a beer………. Its time for a beer! Simple!
  6. When there is a time lapse of a few hours and your watching a game on TV so that you don’t get bored, whenever you get up for a beer remember to stir the pot.
  7. You have to pass the stove to get to the refrigerator, SO STIR THE POT!!!! (Its also good exercise.)
  8. Always buy the best tools to make your job easier. You don’t want to cut yourself slicing meat when you could have used an electric slicer.
  9. Always try to find the finest quality ingredients for your recipes. Just because the grocery store says “Stew Meat” doesn’t mean it’s the best meat for stew. They have to sell it anyway and they can’t sell it as a roast! So they cut it up and call it “Stew Meat”
  10.  Most butcher shops have better quality meats than the grocery stores and in most cases they have better prices or are equivalent to what you find at the grocery store.
